Henric Ahlkvist came out of the goal and Torsten Hedling tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Josef Häll fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Stig-Ove Albäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Strand having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Pelle Törnqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torsten Hedling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henric Ahlkvist having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stig-Ove Albäck was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Stig-Ove Albäck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lervik IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig-Ove Albäck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georg Strand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torsten Hedlings short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Henric Ahlkvist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jörgen Söderqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henric Ahlkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jörgen Söderqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. Jörgen Söderqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jörgen Söderqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. BoysDontCry's Georg Strand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Ove Albäck in the 71st minute of play. Torsten Hedling might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henric Ahlkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Torsten Hedling ran back to his position shaking his head. Pelle Törnqvist was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 75th match minute, Lervik IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pelle Törnqvist to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Lervik IF's Daniel Karlsson got a free kick in the 79th minute. Josef Häll's late challenge caught a BoysDontCry's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josef Häll helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Josef Häll hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despite being the better team, BoysDontCry failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
