Spectators: 7503 (Terracing: 5628, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Stig-Ove Albäck made the kick off which started today's match. BoysDontCry's Georg Strand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Häll in the 4th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josef Häll during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With an all-out effort, BoysDontCry's Henric Ahlkvist threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jörgen Söderqvist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Henric Ahlkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viggo Carlberg in the 19th minute of play. Stig-Ove Albäck's late challenge caught a BoysDontCry's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig-Ove Albäck helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lervik IF getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Stig-Ove Albäck hit a great ball. Henric Ahlkvist made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Torsten Hedling sent off a good shot on target. Pelle Törnqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, BoysDontCry's Georg Fredriksson got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 35th minute Stig-Ove Albäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Strand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of BoysDontCry booed when Lervik IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Ove Albäck didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Torsten Hedling to strike the kick off in the second half. Torsten Hedling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jörgen Söderqvist struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Henric Ahlkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BoysDontCry. BoysDontCry's Georg Strand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save BoysDontCry from getting a goal against them. Josef Häll struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Georg Strand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lervik IF. After 68 played minutes BoysDontCry got a freekick which was hit by Georg Fredriksson. Lervik IF's Stig-Ove Albäck got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Lervik IF's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Söderqvist came free, but Henric Ahlkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torsten Hedling in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henric Ahlkvist saved Lervik IF from getting behind. Torsten Hedling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Henric Ahlkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Lervik IF got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Pihlberg. The audience was convinced that Torsten Hedling's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henric Ahlkvist was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Despite being the better team, BoysDontCry failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
