The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4thth minute of the game Marcus Berg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saltsjöbaden IF's Einar Blomberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Marcus Berg put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Einar Blomberg. In the 10th match minute, Figgs IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Alström to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Figgs IK's goalkeeper Victor Nicorici had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edvard Morat. Figgs IK's Victor Nicorici proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Figgs IK from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Saltsjöbaden IF defense, Marcus Berg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Einar Blomberg. The Saltsjöbaden IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Einar Blomberg should have stopped the shot. Saltsjöbaden IF's Edvard Morat got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Marcus Berg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Einar Blomberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Lenberg was the one to do the kick off. After 56 minutes, Bengt-Rune Mickelsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saltsjöbaden IF and the Figgs IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Bengt-Rune Mickelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Saltsjöbaden IF's Einar Blomberg got control of the ball when Marcus Berg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcus Berg in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Einar Blomberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jon Jelm was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Figgs IK booed when Saltsjöbaden IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon Jelm didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marcus Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Einar Blomberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Barck, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Figgs IK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Saltsjöbaden IF.
