After a defensive mix-up in Figgs IK's zone, Erik Kilstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Nicorici came out of the goal and Erik Kilstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Figgs IK's Marcus Berg got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Figgs IK's Sebastian Stenquist shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jerry Boström but with some difficulty. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fritz Walmarsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Marcus Berg sped through The Bonebreakers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jerry Boström. Jerry Boström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Arne Siöman in the 63rd minute of the match. After 64 minutes, Karl-Erik Höijer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Bonebreakers and the Figgs IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jerry Boström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Alström, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The Figgs IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 93 minutes into the match, Marcus Berg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jerry Boström. The Bonebreakers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcus Berg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Marcus Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Figgs IK had played much better football throughout.
