When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Thomas Müller sped through Lycke's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Egon Kiempe. After 24 minutes, Mustapha Bessou mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Royal Arsenal and the Lycke players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thomas Müller took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Egon Kiempe. Egon Kiempe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Thomas Müller scored 0-4 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egon Kiempe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomas Müller in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egon Kiempe saved Lycke from getting behind. Boris Näver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tristan Jarry having to interfere. Olov Kielstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egon Kiempe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Müller, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute Thomas Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egon Kiempe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Royal Arsenal's Thomas Müller in 44 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Egon Kiempe guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Thomas Müller put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Egon Kiempe. Egon Kiempe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixten Bergqvist in the 48th minute of play.

Egon Kiempe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olov Kielstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the match, Royal Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Näver came free, but Tristan Jarry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egon Kiempe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Müller in the 59th minute. Lycke's Egon Kiempe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olov Kielstedt in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Thomas Müller made a precise shot to the right of Egon Kiempe. Lycke's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. 73 minutes into the match, Lycke's goal looked a bit too open when Olov Kielstedt came free, but Egon Kiempe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Olov Kielstedt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Egon Kiempe. The goal made the score 0-8. If Olov Kielstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomas Müller took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Egon Kiempe. Egon Kiempe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. Royal Arsenal's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
