In the 5th match minute, Lycke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erland Elg to maneuver through the defense. Egon Kiempe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georg Pilgren in the 8th minute of the match. The nice shot from Esbjörn Karlsson in the 12thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Mårten Söderlund had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Egon Kiempe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georg Pilgren in the 13th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Georg Pilgren made a precise shot to the right of Egon Kiempe. Lycke's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Georg Pilgren came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Hedekas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Georg Pilgren couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the match, Hedekas's goalkeeper Mårten Söderlund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esbjörn Karlsson. In the 28th minute, Hedekas's Georg Strömberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Georg Strömberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hedekas protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Georg Strömberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 28 minutes into the game, one of Hedekas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Lycke getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. David Strandberg hit a great ball. Georg Pilgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hedekas's Georg Pilgren got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Georg Pilgren to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Erik Paulin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lycke's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Paulin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mårten Söderlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mårten Söderlund came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Lycke's Esbjörn Karlsson. But to his dismay, Esbjörn Karlsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 64th minute Esbjörn Karlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mårten Söderlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hedekas's Mårten Söderlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esbjörn Karlsson in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hedekas's Rickard Sundberg got a free kick in the 78th minute. Esbjörn Karlsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mårten Söderlund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Esbjörn Karlsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Mårten Söderlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esbjörn Karlsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the game, Boris Näver was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lycke's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hedekas the free kick. In the 88th minute, Boris Näver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
