Speed Trap
Spectators: 7472 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) After a defensive mix-up in Gimo's zone, Adrian Ström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kalle Hermansson came out of the goal and Adrian Ström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 6 minutes of play, Gimo's Max Komara made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fred Björkdahl was left in no man's land by his defense there! 11 minutes into the match, Max Komara notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Njutångers BK's Fred Björkdahl. Fred Björkdahl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bertil Stabbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Fred Björkdahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Samuel Mouricio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Björkdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Björkdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertil Stabbe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Samuel Mouricio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fred Björkdahl was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Fred Björkdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Ambjörnsson in the 24th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Gimo's Samuel Mouricio made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fred Björkdahl was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the match, Njutångers BK's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Mouricio came free, but Fred Björkdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Njutångers BK getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Kaj Smitt hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Njutångers BK defense, Samuel Mouricio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fred Björkdahl. The Njutångers BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fred Björkdahl should have stopped the shot. Fred Björkdahl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexander Ambjörnsson went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jimmie Odin made a kick off. Jimmie Odin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fred Björkdahl made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Bertil Stabbe sent off a good shot on target. Njutångers BK's Fred Björkdahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Njutångers BK from getting a goal against them. 66 minutes into the match, Njutångers BK's goal looked a bit too open when Max Komara came free, but Fred Björkdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Samuel Mouricio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Björkdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Njutångers BK defense, Samuel Mouricio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fred Björkdahl. The Njutångers BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fred Björkdahl should have stopped the shot. In the 71st minute, Bertil Stabbe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Njutångers BK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Max Komara scored to the left of an out of position Fred Björkdahl, making the score, 0-7. The crowd rose to their feet as Max Komara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fred Björkdahl. That made the score 0-8 in the 84 minute of play. If Jimmie Odin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Gimo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gimo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
