In the 4thth minute of the game Evert Smedfeldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bosanski Brod FK's Stefan Kilman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Bosanski Brod FK's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Uter came free, but Stefan Kilman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 minutes, Evert Smedfeldt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AIK 1891 and the Bosanski Brod FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Evert Smedfeldt hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Carl Lundström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Michael Bodin made a huge save. Michael Bodin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henning Holm, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Bengt Henriksson's late challenge caught a Bosanski Brod FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengt Henriksson helped the player get up and apologised. Tim Gustafsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stefan Kilman made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Evert Smedfeldt sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Bosanski Brod FK getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evert Smedfeldt ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henning Holm in the 72nd minute of play forced AIK 1891's goalkeeper Michael Bodin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes of play, AIK 1891's Tim Gustafsson made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stefan Kilman was left in no man's land by his defense there! When George Tunström fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bosanski Brod FK's protests and gave George Tunström a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of AIK 1891 booed when Bosanski Brod FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Tunström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evert Smedfeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Stefan Kilman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AIK 1891's Michael Bodin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henning Holm in the 87th minute of play. Carl Lundström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michael Bodin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. The Bosanski Brod FK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AIK 1891's performance. The match ended with a win for AIK 1891.
