The referee ignored Nils Liedholm IF's protests and gave Martin Söderkvist a yellow card for diving instead. Martin Söderkvist hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Killaryd If's Isaac Mattsson got control of the ball when Rune Nilsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Killaryd If's zone, Rune Nilsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaac Mattsson came out of the goal and Rune Nilsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute, Martin Söderkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nils Liedholm IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Killaryd If's Isaac Mattsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmie Fogel in the 16th minute of play. Jimmie Fogel struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Isaac Mattsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nils Liedholm IF. 19 minutes into the match, Jimmie Fogel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaac Mattsson. Killaryd If's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jimmie Fogel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Rune Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marc Juhlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jörn Zander fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Killaryd If's protests and gave Jörn Zander a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Killaryd If got a freekick which was hit by Jörn Zander. A collision led to Killaryd If getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jörn Zander hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the game, Stefan Hafström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Killaryd If's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nils Liedholm IF the free kick. In the 29th minute, Stefan Hafström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marc Juhlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Isaac Mattsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Killaryd If's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmie Fogel came free, but Isaac Mattsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jörn Zander got his second yellow card in the match during the 37th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 37 played minutes Killaryd If got a freekick which was hit by Jörn Zander. After 40 minutes Killaryd If's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Martin Söderkvist who took care of the corner kick. Nils Liedholm IF's Martin Söderkvist was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Isaac Mattsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Marc Juhlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 46 minutes, Marc Juhlin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nils Liedholm IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Juhlin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jimmie Fogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Egon Winström to strike the kick off in the second half. Leif Lundgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Juhlin in the 62nd minute of play forced Killaryd If's goalkeeper Isaac Mattsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Nils Liedholm IF's Gunnar Wallander got control of the ball when Egon Winström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marc Juhlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isaac Mattsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Juhlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Jimmie Fogel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaac Mattsson. Killaryd If's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jimmie Fogel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After some careless play in the Killaryd If defense, Marc Juhlin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isaac Mattsson. The Killaryd If fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isaac Mattsson should have stopped the shot. Marc Juhlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Isaac Mattsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marc Juhlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Marc Juhlin made a precise shot to the right of Isaac Mattsson. Killaryd If's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. After a rather tough play, Killaryd If's Brian Åkerman got a free kick in the 95th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Killaryd If's zone, Rune Nilsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaac Mattsson came out of the goal and Rune Nilsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nils Liedholm IF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
