Edvard Vinström kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Lars-Erik Arhenius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Ola Mellberg in the 26th minute of play. Edvard Vinström hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Skälby FK's zone, Åke Sigman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walter Björkqvist came out of the goal and Åke Sigman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the game, Björn Abrahamsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skälby FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ammarnäs IF the free kick. The referee gave Ammarnäs IF a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jan-Ove Jernberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Skälby FK's Walter Björkqvist. 1-1. The supporters of Skälby FK booed when Ammarnäs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvard Vinström didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peder Frisck in the 41st minute of play forced Ammarnäs IF's goalkeeper Lars-Erik Arhenius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Jonas Bollström notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ammarnäs IF's Lars-Erik Arhenius. Lars-Erik Arhenius was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 46th minute of the match, Henry Löfgren tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Walter Björkqvist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 48th minute Ammarnäs IF were awarded a corner. Jan-Ove Jernberg went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Hampus Qvarnström managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.

The wind increased when Henry Löfgren made the kick off in the second half. Ammarnäs IF's Lars-Erik Arhenius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Ammarnäs IF from getting a goal against them. After having played for 57 minutes, Henry Löfgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ammarnäs IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Löfgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Daniel Kihlman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lars-Erik Arhenius acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 63rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Björn Abrahamsson. Ammarnäs IF's Åke Sigman got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jens-Ola Mellberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Skälby FK booed when Ammarnäs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvard Vinström didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Skälby FK's Verner Njurenius nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lars-Erik Arhenius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Björn Abrahamsson hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Jens-Ola Mellberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lars-Erik Arhenius having to make a save. In the 85th minute, Jens-Ola Mellberg made a precise shot to the right of Lars-Erik Arhenius. Ammarnäs IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Verner Njurenius came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lars-Erik Arhenius could save by the left post. Lars-Erik Arhenius came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Skälby FK's Jens-Ola Mellberg. But to his dismay, Jens-Ola Mellberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. The Ammarnäs IF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Skälby FK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
