The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jim Nyman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Tord Apelqvist made a huge save. When Vidar Törnblom fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Landskrona BOIS's protests and gave Vidar Törnblom a yellow card for diving instead. When Pär Törnqvist came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the FC Boston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pär Törnqvist couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the game, FC Boston's Gustav Alberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Örjan Lindman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Landskrona BOIS's Örjan Lindman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örjan Asplund in the 18th minute of play. Üzeyir Bilek's late challenge caught a FC Boston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Üzeyir Bilek helped the player get up and apologised. Tord Apelqvist made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Jim Nyman sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Nyman in the 28th minute of play forced FC Boston's goalkeeper Tord Apelqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torsten Klementsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vidar Törnblom was shown his second yellow card after 31 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 31st minute, Vidar Törnblom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niklas Håkansson kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Boston's Stellan Björck got a free kick in the 37th minute. A hard shot by Joacim Stabbe from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Tord Apelqvist's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Örjan Lindman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niklas Håkansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Örjan Asplund in the 41st minute of play forced Landskrona BOIS's goalkeeper Örjan Lindman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tord Apelqvist made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Torsten Klementsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute Gustav Alberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Örjan Lindman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jim Nyman to make the kick off. The supporters of FC Boston booed when Landskrona BOIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Nyman didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Landskrona BOIS's Örjan Lindman got control of the ball when Örjan Asplund tried to sneak it across the goal line. Üzeyir Bilek hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. A collision led to Landskrona BOIS getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Üzeyir Bilek hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Boston's Gustav Alberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Örjan Lindman. That made the score 0-2 after 80 minutes of play. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Nicolás Stefanelli got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pär Törnqvist was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 91st minute. FC Boston's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Örjan Lindman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustav Alberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Örjan Lindman came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Boston's Niklas Håkansson. But to his dismay, Niklas Håkansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.
