The Västra Frölunda IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Ingemar Hernström kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Kasper Ekenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Sakarias Persson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingemar Hernström, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 22nd minute Jimmy Rang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sakarias Persson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Rang in the 29th minute of play forced Västra Frölunda IF's goalkeeper Sakarias Persson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kevin Rosen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sakarias Persson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ingemar Hernström went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jimmy Rang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sakarias Persson came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by RED DEVILS!'s Ingemar Hernström. But to his dismay, Ingemar Hernström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Oskar Koch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Rosen in the 44th minute. Västra Frölunda IF's Kevin Rosen got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half RED DEVILS! were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Rosen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oskar Koch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ragnar Rydelius in the 53rd minute of the match. Västra Frölunda IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Jimmy Rang scored to the left of an out of position Sakarias Persson, making the score, 1-3. In the 59th minute Kevin Rosen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oskar Koch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Västra Frölunda IF's Kevin Rosen got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oskar Koch came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Västra Frölunda IF's Ragnar Rydelius. But to his dismay, Ragnar Rydelius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sixten Trulsson during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Västra Frölunda IF booed when RED DEVILS! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sixten Trulsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ragnar Utfal might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oskar Koch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ragnar Utfal ran back to his position shaking his head. Oskar Koch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Rosen, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute Jimmy Rang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sakarias Persson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kevin Rosen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Rosen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Oskar Koch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Per Månsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 94 minutes, Ragnar Utfal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västra Frölunda IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ragnar Utfal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Västra Frölunda IF's Jon Sigman got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Västra Frölunda IF players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
