Spectators: 7722 (Terracing: 5792, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kjell Gustafsson got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the game, Viggo Lundin threw the ball into play from the sideline. Tived's Börje Bagge quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience thought a goal was coming when Börje Bagge got free with Einar Gustavsson in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Per-Erik Wahlnäs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Löfgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Målilla's goalkeeper Einar Gustavsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Börje Bagge. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Löfgren in the 37th minute of play forced Tived's goalkeeper Per-Erik Wahlnäs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Börje Bagge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Tived players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Målilla were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Börje Bagge made the kick off in the second half. Målilla's Einar Gustavsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Bagge in the 58th minute of play. When Carl Koch fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tived's protests and gave Carl Koch a yellow card for diving instead. Carl Koch hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute Börje Bagge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einar Gustavsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Tived's goalkeeper Per-Erik Wahlnäs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Löfgren. In the 66th minute, Reine Jakobsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute Börje Bagge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einar Gustavsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Målilla's Viggo Lundin got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Börje Bagge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Einar Gustavsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Tived's Börje Bagge got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Målilla left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tived.
