After having played for 3 minutes, Martin Paulin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åskloster FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Paulin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 5th minute, Rune Willig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Viklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Paulin in the 8th minute of play. Ivar Aleberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Stig Vidman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Jerry Ström took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Daniel Viklund to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 32 minutes, Ivar Aleberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sten Björk couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerry Ström to strike the kick off in the second half. Åskloster FF's Stig Vidman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Åskloster FF from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Wrexham A.F.C. booed when Åskloster FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Sävström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Viklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Paulin in the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes in the game, Adrian Söderberg fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Stig Vidman having to interfere. Åskloster FF made a substitution. Elof Molin replaced Oskar Lundin. Åskloster FF's Stig Vidman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Åskloster FF from getting a goal against them. Göran Utfal charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Göran Utfal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th match minute, Wrexham A.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Göran Utfal to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Ström in the 77th minute of play forced Wrexham A.F.C.'s goalkeeper Daniel Viklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 played minutes Wrexham A.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Sten Björk. Jens-Ove Bergström took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Viklund. Daniel Viklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Daniel Viklund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kurt Sävström went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Adrian Söderberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stig Vidman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
