The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Vidar Bäckman got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. The audience was convinced that Johnny Ennegren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivar Mårtensson was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. In the 84th of the match, Johnny Ennegren tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Ivar Mårtensson got in the way and made a wonderful save. The referee ignored Salem Hotspurs FC's protests and gave Melker Salkvist a yellow card for diving instead.
