The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes, Johnny Ennegren made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Höjden BK's Ivar Mårtensson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9thth minute of the game Johnny Ennegren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Höjden BK's Ivar Mårtensson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ivar Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernán Anaya in the 12th minute of play. Lukas Lupidana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Siggman in the 31st minute of the match. Höjden BK's Ivar Mårtensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Höjden BK from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Höjden BK's Sven-Ove Ivarsson got a free kick in the 37th minute. The Salem Hotspurs FC fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Salem Hotspurs FC's Johnny Ennegren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Johnny Ennegren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ivar Mårtensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Nils-Emil Torstensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Johnny Ennegren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Höjden BK's Ivar Mårtensson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Johnny Ennegren notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Höjden BK's Ivar Mårtensson. Ivar Mårtensson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Johnny Ennegren sped through Höjden BK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivar Mårtensson. In the 68th minute Johnny Ennegren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Mårtensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Salem Hotspurs FC's Johnny Ennegren in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivar Mårtensson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 75thth minute of the game Johnny Ennegren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Höjden BK's Ivar Mårtensson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 77th minute Vidar Bäckman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Mårtensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Jens-Erik Mager got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ivar Mårtensson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ivar Mårtensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnny Ennegren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute Salem Hotspurs FC were awarded a corner. Jens-Erik Mager went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Jens-Erik Mager almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Höjden BK's Ivar Mårtensson did a great save. In the 93rd minute, Nils-Emil Torstensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 94 played minutes, Salem Hotspurs FC's Jens-Erik Mager shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivar Mårtensson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Salem Hotspurs FC reached it. Ivar Mårtensson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johnny Ennegren's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Salem Hotspurs FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Höjden BK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
