A collision led to Banana Juicers getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ragnar Eriksson hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Igelström in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Édouard Mendy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes into the match, AIK's Jens Lindström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vilhelm Kjellbom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The tension between the Banana Juicers and the AIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of AIK booed when Banana Juicers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnny Lawrence in the 53rd minute of play forced Banana Juicers's goalkeeper Vilhelm Kjellbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Édouard Mendy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Gustavsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Banana Juicers's Vilhelm Kjellbom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Lawrence in the 58th minute of play. Vilhelm Kjellbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnny Lawrence, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 0-5 became the score in the 90th minute when Johnny Lawrence elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Banana Juicers's goal looked a bit too open when Kristoffer Holmberg came free, but Vilhelm Kjellbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Johnny Lawrence took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Vilhelm Kjellbom to make any attempt to save it. The Banana Juicers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AIK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
