Per-Olof Löfdahl came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Albert Freitag could save by the left post. IF Älgarna's Sten Uggstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hannes Hökqvist hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute Sten Uggstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Olof Sjödin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evarado Sauca in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albert Freitag saved IF Älgarna from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sten Uggstedt to make the kick off. Jan-Olof Sjödin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Uggstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 53 minutes into the match, Jönåker FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Uggstedt came free, but Jan-Olof Sjödin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albert Freitag didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gottfrid Abelsson went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score.
