With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Freitag prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner ended in Ciro Hustaz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but IF Älgarna's Albert Freitag did a great save. The attack was good, but when Alfred Ekström in the 4th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 15thth minute of the game Sten Uggstedt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Askars ik's Kjell Ros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Ciro Hustaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albert Freitag. IF Älgarna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro Hustaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Askars ik's Kjell Ros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Askars ik from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Askars ik booed when IF Älgarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Hagström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uno Zachrisson kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. John Olofsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kjell Ros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Ciro Hustaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albert Freitag. IF Älgarna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro Hustaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 30 played minutes IF Älgarna got a freekick which was hit by Dag Kock. IF Älgarna's Albert Freitag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Hustaz in the 32nd minute of play. Alfred Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Freitag having to interfere. Marko Gråberg kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Kjell Ros successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 38 minutes into the match, Askars ik's goalkeeper Kjell Ros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John Olofsson. Ciro Hustaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Albert Freitag tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in IF Älgarna's zone, Östen Brander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Freitag came out of the goal and Östen Brander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kjell Ros made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Sten Uggstedt sent off a good shot on target. IF Älgarna were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Askars ik's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. John Olofsson took the corner.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciro Hustaz to strike the kick off in the second half. Kjell Ros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Uggstedt in the 51st minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, IF Älgarna's goalkeeper Albert Freitag had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Hustaz. In the 62ndth minute of the game John Olofsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Askars ik's Kjell Ros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Östen Brander struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Albert Freitag didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Askars ik. In the 73rd minute of the match IF Älgarna got a corner. Askars ik's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. John Olofsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Askars ik's Kjell Ros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Hagström in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Ciro Hustaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Freitag saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ciro Hustaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albert Freitag was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Kjell Ros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Olofsson in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, IF Älgarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Olofsson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 91 minutes, Dan Arhenius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IF Älgarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dan Arhenius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 93 minutes, Ciro Hustaz made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. IF Älgarna's Albert Freitag tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to IF Älgarna getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Dan Arhenius hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Askars ik eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
