Korey Friedman did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Albert Freitag 5 minutes into the match. Albert Freitag made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Alessio Pacella sent off a good shot on target. After 12 minutes IF Älgarna's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oskar Mellberg who took care of the corner kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Olofsson during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of BK Forward booed when IF Älgarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Olofsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 minutes, Oskar Mellberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Forward and the IF Älgarna players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of IF Älgarna booed when BK Forward was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oskar Mellberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keefe Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Uggstedt in the 19th minute of the match. With his leg Albert Freitag managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when BK Forward's Korey Friedman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Korey Friedman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Albert Freitag when he managed to save the team from getting behind. BK Forward's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Oskar Mellberg in the 22nd minute. The corner ended in Oskar Mellberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but IF Älgarna's Albert Freitag did a great save. In the 23rd match minute, IF Älgarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Uggstedt to maneuver through the defense. Korey Friedman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Freitag having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, IF Älgarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sune Söderkvist to maneuver through the defense. Albert Freitag made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Korey Friedman in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to BK Forward getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Åke Käller hit a great ball. Alessio Pacella kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 46th minute John Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keefe Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sten Uggstedt made a kick off. John Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korey Friedman in the 54th minute of play forced IF Älgarna's goalkeeper Albert Freitag to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keefe Paulsen was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Sten Uggstedt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sten Uggstedt really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Uggstedt in the 61st minute of play forced BK Forward's goalkeeper Keefe Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sten Uggstedt in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keefe Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to BK Forward getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Richard Jansson hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, BK Forward's Richard Jansson got a free kick in the 70th minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Alessio Pacella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BK Forward's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessio Pacella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Korey Friedman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BK Forward fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 85th minute, Korey Friedman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albert Freitag was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. A collision led to IF Älgarna getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. John Olofsson hit a great ball. BK Forward's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
