The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Marko Gråberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the match, Ciro Hustaz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Giffarna's Martin Lekberg. Martin Lekberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Ciro Hustaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Lekberg was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. After 11 minutes of play, Askars ik's Ciro Hustaz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Lekberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14th minute, Östen Brander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Askars ik fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Ekström in the 19th minute of play forced Giffarna's goalkeeper Martin Lekberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Ciro Hustaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Lekberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Lekberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Hustaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Marko Gråberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Lekberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Lekberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Hustaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Östen Brander charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Östen Brander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Östen Brander hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute Ciro Hustaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Lekberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walter Sillén to strike the kick off in the second half. With 52 minutes on the clock, Oskar Salkvist commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 53rd minute, Oskar Salkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Alfred Ekström reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Martin Lekberg. The goal made the score 0-10. Kjell Ros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Sillén in the 69th minute of play. Martin Lekberg made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Ciro Hustaz sent off a good shot on target. Martin Lekberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marko Gråberg went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-11 was the resulting score. Giffarna's Martin Lekberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Ekström in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Hustaz in the 76th minute of play forced Giffarna's goalkeeper Martin Lekberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Lekberg was a little too slow when Östen Brander got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-12. After a defensive mix-up in Giffarna's zone, Östen Brander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Lekberg came out of the goal and Östen Brander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marko Gråberg got free with Martin Lekberg in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Hustaz in the 86th minute of play forced Giffarna's goalkeeper Martin Lekberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Giffarna's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Hustaz came free, but Martin Lekberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Birger Hedkvist received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Martin Lekberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Birger Hedkvist slotted it home off the left post making it 0-13 in the 88th minute. Martin Lekberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciro Hustaz's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute of the match, Marko Gråberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Martin Lekberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 96 played minutes Giffarna got a freekick which was hit by Walter Sillén. When the final whistle sounded Askars ik left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Giffarna.
