The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Åke Eskilsson got free with Martin Lekberg in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Karl Gerdberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Alberg having to interfere. Per Alberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Sillén in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Albert Hök had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Lekberg. Giffarna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albert Hök was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Martin Lekberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The tension between the Startklar Aktiverad and the Giffarna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Startklar Aktiverad's supporters rose to their feet, but Elliot Strandberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Lekberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Gerdberg couldn't finish the play.
