The audience thought a goal was coming when John Olofsson got free with Philip Holmgren in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronny Hagström in the 20th minute of play forced Ljungsbro FC's goalkeeper Philip Holmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philip Holmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Olofsson in the 45th minute of the match.

After 50 minutes, Ronny Hagström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IF Älgarna and the Ljungsbro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 50 played minutes IF Älgarna got a freekick which was hit by Ronny Hagström. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. IF Älgarna's Ciriaco Gonsalve got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ljungsbro FC's Philip Holmgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Gonsalve in the 70th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Ciriaco Gonsalve notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Ljungsbro FC's Philip Holmgren. Philip Holmgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 74th minute, Fabian Åkesson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the game, IF Älgarna's Ronny Hagström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Philip Holmgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. 83 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Gonsalve cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Philip Holmgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 90 minutes of play, IF Älgarna's Ronny Hagström made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Philip Holmgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th minute, Ciriaco Gonsalve ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philip Holmgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. IF Älgarna fully deserved thier win.
