The audience was convinced that Emanuel Löfskog's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mark Nilsson was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Sten Josefsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pankracy Oborski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. In the 18th minute, Emanuel Löfskog made a precise shot to the right of Mark Nilsson. Djurgårdens IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Sten Josefsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Börje Fagerberg in the 20th minute. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Pankracy Oborski put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sten Josefsson. Djurgårdens IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Best Man in the 32nd minute. After 42 minutes of play, Djurgårdens IF's Börje Fagerberg made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sten Josefsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 47 played minutes Djurgårdens IF got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Damm. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Löfskog was the one to do the kick off. Pankracy Oborski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Pankracy Oborski put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sten Josefsson. Pankracy Oborski hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Börje Fagerberg in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sten Josefsson saved Golf United from getting behind. 74 minutes into the match, Golf United's Michel Fågel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mark Nilsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Villiam Åkerström hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Djurgårdens IF's Marcelo Silva got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute, Börje Fagerberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Djurgårdens IF's Erling Bolin was substituted for Marcelo Silva. Sten Josefsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börje Fagerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. With his leg Mark Nilsson managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Golf United's Emanuel Löfskog fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sten Josefsson came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Djurgårdens IF's Pankracy Oborski. But to his dismay, Pankracy Oborski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. In the 95th match minute, Golf United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Skager to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Pankracy Oborski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Djurgårdens IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Pankracy Oborski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Josefsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Djurgårdens IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
