In the 11th minute of the match, Martin Zachrisson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jan Alegren saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kent Kyrk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Ahlström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. IFK Åmål's Jan Alegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Ove Ingvall in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute Sergio Vellito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent Kyrk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 played minutes, Hårdmen Slak's Hampus Forsberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jan Alegren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hårdmen Slak reached it. Jan Alegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Zachrisson in the 66th minute of the match. Jan Alegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Kent Kyrk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergio Vellito in the 70th minute. Herman Sjögren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Kent Kyrk made a huge save. A collision led to Hårdmen Slak getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Börje Jönsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kent Kyrk. Hårdmen Slak's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The IFK Åmål supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing IFK Åmål would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
