Detlev Leisibach made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Helge Wallman sent off a good shot on target. Hammarby Hornets BK were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Marbäcks FF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jesper Fridlund took the corner. Folke Hermansson made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Marbäcks FF's Bernt Göransson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sivert Söder in the 44th minute of play forced Marbäcks FF's goalkeeper Theagenis Vavatsikos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Marbäcks FF's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Arne Hökqvist came free, but Theagenis Vavatsikos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Hammarby Hornets BK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Marbäcks FF.
