The tension between the Skå IK and the Zantos IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Zantos IF booed when Skå IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Morat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Ove Målare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timmy Glad in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charles Vennerlund saved Skå IK from getting behind. Zantos IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ove Målare was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jack Morat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Oskar Stor having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Zantos IF's goalkeeper Per-Oskar Stor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ove Målare. The Skå IK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zantos IF were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ove Målare to make the kick off.
