In the 31st minute, Marc Lundgren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hubert Classon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Marc Lundgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hubert Classon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marc Lundgren to make the kick off. Mellanström's Ludomir Sala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Mellanström from getting a goal against them. Hubert Classon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Lundgren in the 56th minute of the match. Ingmar Byström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Ludomir Sala made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, The Olsson FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oskars Rebec came free, but Hubert Classon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Olsson FC's goalkeeper Hubert Classon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marc Lundgren struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Hubert Classon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mellanström. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Henrik Persson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mellanström protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Henrik Persson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 91 minutes into the game, one of Mellanström:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 94 minutes, The Olsson FC's Elof Månsson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ludomir Sala. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Alvin Pålsson took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Ludomir Sala to make any attempt to save it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Olsson FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
