After 42 played minutes Ulysses Baldwin rounded Göteborg 1904's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. In the 44th match minute, The Northmen Army was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svit Snabb to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Codruț Capisizu to make the kick off.
