Hugo Alkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valter Telin's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Valter Telin put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hugo Alkvist. 14 minutes into the match, Libeccio Grif's goal looked a bit too open when Gilbert Högström came free, but Hugo Alkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lino Fauria's late challenge caught a AFC Richmond's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Fauria helped the player get up and apologised. If Gilbert Högström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valter Telin in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Alkvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the game, Gilbert Högström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Hugo Alkvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of AFC Richmond booed when Libeccio Grif was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Fauria didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Libeccio Grif:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AFC Richmond:s goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valter Telin to make the kick off. The supporters of Libeccio Grif booed when AFC Richmond was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Larsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Gilbert Högström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Roger Ånger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Alkvist having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Libeccio Grif's goal looked a bit too open when Valter Telin came free, but Hugo Alkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Åke Winström kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Libeccio Grif's goalkeeper Hugo Alkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilbert Högström. 61 minutes into the match, Libeccio Grif's goal looked a bit too open when Valter Telin came free, but Hugo Alkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Libeccio Grif's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gilbert Högström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 78th minute, Valter Telin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Alkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. After 87 played minutes, Libeccio Grif's Arne Westerstrand shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Evert Lägdin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Libeccio Grif reached it. After 90 played minutes AFC Richmond got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Goicoechea. 96 minutes into the game, AFC Richmond's Roger Ånger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugo Alkvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. The Libeccio Grif supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AFC Richmond's performance. The match ended with a win for AFC Richmond.
