Mark Modig was slow to take the kick. During this time Al-Slottshöjden's players had a chance to rest. After 12 played minutes Gräskungarnas FF got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Åman. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugen Barbăroșie in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adilson do Vale saved Al-Slottshöjden from getting behind. In the 16th match minute, Al-Slottshöjden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Åke Ahlbeck to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Roy Ånger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gräskungarnas FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Adilson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugen Barbăroșie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dennis Påk fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Al-Slottshöjden's protests and gave Dennis Påk a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Gräskungarnas FF a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bengt Kolberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Al-Slottshöjden's Adilson do Vale. 0-3. 29 minutes into the match, Gräskungarnas FF's goalkeeper Kuno Friedrich had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josef Hellbom. After some careless play in the Al-Slottshöjden defense, Eugen Barbăroșie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adilson do Vale. The Al-Slottshöjden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adilson do Vale should have stopped the shot. Adilson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Holm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Reggie Clement sped through Gräskungarnas FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kuno Friedrich. If Reggie Clement had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reggie Clement made a kick off. In the 50th match minute, Al-Slottshöjden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reggie Clement to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Eugen Barbăroșie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gräskungarnas FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugen Barbăroșie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adilson do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 53rd minute, Reggie Clement ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kuno Friedrich was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Hugo Söderkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kuno Friedrich. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugo Söderkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfred Åman hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Hellbom in the 64th minute of play forced Gräskungarnas FF's goalkeeper Kuno Friedrich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pierre Schutrups hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Kuno Friedrich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Åke Ahlbeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Björn Holm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adilson do Vale having to interfere. The Gräskungarnas FF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
