In the 7th minute, Rudolf Tunström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Sigvard Löfgren put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of David Lingren. Jarl Kielberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Barnaba Tipinski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Frosta HC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Emanuel Alegren hit a great ball. 15 minutes in the game, Sigvard Löfgren dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. David Lingren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigvard Löfgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Konrad Ekberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Lingren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The BenRis FC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when BenRis FC's Sigvard Löfgren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigvard Löfgren in the 28th minute of play forced Frosta HC's goalkeeper David Lingren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Konrad Ekberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the game, one of Frosta HC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Frosta HC's Jens-Ola Lindell got a free kick in the 41st minute. Frosta HC's David Lingren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigvard Löfgren in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Konrad Ekberg made a kick off. Sigvard Löfgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Lingren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 50th minute of play. In the 52nd minute BenRis FC were awarded a corner. Stig Galle went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Sigvard Löfgren heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 68th minute, BenRis FC's Sigvard Löfgren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Sigvard Löfgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Lingren having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Frosta HC got a freekick which was hit by Fredric Wallengren. Sigvard Löfgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Lingren stood somewhat misplaced when Konrad Ekberg came free in front of goal and shot 0-8 to the left of him in the 84 minute. In the 87th match minute, Frosta HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lukas Sjögren to maneuver through the defense. David Lingren made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Sigvard Löfgren sent off a good shot on target. David Lingren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Konrad Ekberg's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Frosta HC! In the 92nd minute, BenRis FC got a penalty, and Stig Galle placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. The audience was convinced that Konrad Ekberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Lingren was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. BenRis FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
