Alsterbro's Aquiles Adrio got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Lilla Skania's zone, Fredric Karlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agne Johnsson came out of the goal and Fredric Karlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, Alsterbro's goalkeeper Sven Josefsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulf Hjeltman. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavius Encea got free with Sven Josefsson in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aquiles Adrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Agne Johnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Lilla Skania getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Eddie Berg hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Alsterbro defense, Anders Asplund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sven Josefsson. The Alsterbro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sven Josefsson should have stopped the shot. If Anders Asplund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anders Asplund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Flavius Encea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven Josefsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavius Encea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Flavius Encea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven Josefsson was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Flavius Encea kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Adrio in the 73rd minute of play forced Lilla Skania's goalkeeper Agne Johnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven Josefsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anders Asplund, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Alsterbro's Svante Holmgren got a free kick in the 76th minute. The supporters of Lilla Skania booed when Alsterbro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svante Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79thth minute of the game Aquiles Adrio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lilla Skania's Agne Johnsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Alsterbro fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Alsterbro's Aquiles Adrio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 92 played minutes Lilla Skania got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Hjeltman. In the 94th minute, Aquiles Adrio made a precise shot to the right of Agne Johnsson. Lilla Skania's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2.
