Bill Van Havent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dag Tolsson in the 3rd minute of the match. The supporters of Besiktas booed when VALHALL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Lundin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Areosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Erik Sandwall having to interfere. Nuno Areosa took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan-Erik Sandwall. Jan-Erik Sandwall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Nuno Areosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan-Erik Sandwall. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nuno Areosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Torsten Lindberg kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Jan-Erik Sandwall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Areosa in the 20th minute of play. Bill Van Havent was a little too slow when Bo Lundin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon-Angel Díaz in the 27th minute of play forced Besiktas's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Sandwall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erdem Sonay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bo Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bill Van Havent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo Lundin, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Besiktas were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after VALHALL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cecilio Cresencio took the corner. In the 40th minute Dag Tolsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bill Van Havent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Bo Lundin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bill Van Havent. Bo Lundin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Cecilio Cresencio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Bill Van Havent made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Axel Lundin during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erdem Sonay to strike the kick off in the second half. Jan-Erik Sandwall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nuno Areosa in the 58th minute. Bill Van Havent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Lundin in the 61st minute of play. After 69 minutes, Jakob Lund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VALHALL and the Besiktas players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to VALHALL getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jakob Lund hit a great ball. Erdem Sonay struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Bill Van Havent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Besiktas. If Bo Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Erdem Sonay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bill Van Havent was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Bäckman during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 minutes VALHALL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cecilio Cresencio who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Besiktas's Cecilio Cresencio to fire away a dangerous shot which Bill Van Havent despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Besiktas's Dag Tolsson got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Besiktas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
