In the 3rd match minute, FC Hamneskär was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Lindqvist to maneuver through the defense. After 5 played minutes Ekaryd FF got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Sjöö. Edvin Källberg made in the 7th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ekaryd FF's Vincent Petersson. FC Hamneskär's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ivar Bogren in the 10th minute. It was a well-played corner which Folke Deckbergh managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Alfons Hurtig who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Patryk Pieknik when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ekaryd FF's Gunnar Sjöö got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunnar Sjöö in the 28th minute of play forced FC Hamneskär's goalkeeper Rickard Falkrans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Gunnar Sjöö managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ekaryd FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gunnar Sjöö was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Gunnar Sjöö cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Rickard Falkrans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the FC Hamneskär defense, Gunnar Sjöö kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rickard Falkrans. The FC Hamneskär fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rickard Falkrans should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfons Hurtig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, FC Hamneskär's Jerry Bengtsson got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute, Ekaryd FF's Gunnar Sjöö ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rickard Falkrans. Rickard Falkrans yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. When FC Hamneskär's Alfons Hurtig in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ekaryd FF's goalie prevented a goal. Alfons Hurtig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Patryk Pieknik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gunnar Sjöö got free with Rickard Falkrans in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute, Ivar Bogren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Gunnar Sjöö managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ekaryd FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Gunnar Sjöö was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rickard Falkrans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to FC Hamneskär getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Göran Dahlgren hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Edwin Olsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rickard Falkrans. That made the score 1-5 in the 83 minute of play. Patryk Pieknik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfons Hurtig, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
