The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Tommarp FK's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Czajkowski came free, but Ludwig Sundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Oliver Apelqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Åstäppa FK booed when Tommarp FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Hamnberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommarp FK's Ludwig Sundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Örtendal in the 20th minute of play. Peter Jelm who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Charles Hughes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Peter Jelm did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Charles Hughes 22 minutes into the match. After 24 minutes, Albert Hård made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Åstäppa FK's Charles Hughes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Czajkowski in the 29th minute of play forced Tommarp FK's goalkeeper Ludwig Sundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Tommarp FK's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Örtendal came free, but Ludwig Sundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Åstäppa FK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Peter Örtendal in the 32nd minute. Uno Lundkvist was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Åke Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Charles Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Åstäppa FK got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Erik Lindman. After 40 played minutes Tommarp FK got a freekick which was hit by Albert Hård. When Peter Örtendal came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Åstäppa FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Örtendal couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Czeslaw Czajkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åstäppa FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Czeslaw Czajkowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ludwig Sundström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Charles Hughes managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Tommarp FK's Peter Jelm fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Czeslaw Czajkowski made a kick off. Tommarp FK's Ludwig Sundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Örtendal in the 58th minute of play. Charles Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Svensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69thth minute of the game Åke Svensson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åstäppa FK's Charles Hughes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Charles Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Olsson in the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Tommarp FK were awarded a corner. Åke Svensson went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Åke Svensson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Åstäppa FK's Charles Hughes did a great save. 75 minutes into the match, Åstäppa FK's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Olsson came free, but Charles Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match Tommarp FK got a corner. Åstäppa FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Åke Svensson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Åke Svensson made a great header on Tommarp FK's corner, it was just that Åstäppa FK's Charles Hughes managed to reach the ball for a save. Håkan Axelsson thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Charles Hughes, a very annoying self made goal in the 77th minute which led to 3-0. With his leg Ludwig Sundström managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Åstäppa FK's Oliver Apelqvist fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Åstäppa FK's Uno Lundkvist got a free kick in the 84th minute. Charles Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Jelm, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliver Apelqvist got free with Ludwig Sundström in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 89 minutes, Peter Örtendal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åstäppa FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Örtendal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
