Team Falken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Huub Reitsma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Huub Reitsma was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 13th minute. Team Falken's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ermegildo Ugaitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nils-Åke Bengtsson in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute of the match, Huub Reitsma tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ermegildo Ugaitz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Team Falken's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Huub Reitsma in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Huub Reitsma made a precise shot to the right of Ermegildo Ugaitz. Basten United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Basten United's Patrick Axelsson got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Huub Reitsma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ermegildo Ugaitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Ermegildo Ugaitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Huub Reitsma's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Nils-Åke Bengtsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ermegildo Ugaitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Huub Reitsma in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermegildo Ugaitz saved Basten United from getting behind. Huub Reitsma blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ermegildo Ugaitz having to make a save. A hard shot 39 in the game by Huub Reitsma from a close distance when the talented Ermegildo Ugaitz managed to make a qualified save. Basten United's players were relieved. With his leg Ermegildo Ugaitz managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Team Falken's Huub Reitsma fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Amedeo Petrocchi hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Basten United defense, Huub Reitsma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ermegildo Ugaitz. The Basten United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ermegildo Ugaitz should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Huub Reitsma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ermegildo Ugaitz was relentless in the 46th minute of the game.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lech Cieliczka to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Team Falken booed when Basten United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lech Cieliczka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Team Falken's supporters rose to their feet, but Huub Reitsma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ermegildo Ugaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Huub Reitsma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Ugaitz having to interfere. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Basten United's goalkeeper Ermegildo Ugaitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Huub Reitsma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huub Reitsma in the 61st minute of play forced Basten United's goalkeeper Ermegildo Ugaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rikard Sundin struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Ermegildo Ugaitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Team Falken. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Team Falken reached it. 95 minutes into the game, Nils-Åke Bengtsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Ermegildo Ugaitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
