The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ren Mur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Blixt in the 5th minute of the match. Paul Månsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Peter Ivarsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Björnlunda IF's Boris Käcker quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Charles Lennartsson, made in the 13th minute of the game. Ren Mur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malte Danielsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Ekström kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as South Park's Anthony Bellucci slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Peter Ivarsson. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. In the 22nd minute Anthony Bellucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Ivarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Ivarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Lennartsson in the 24th minute of the match. Charles Lennartsson made in the 32nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Per-Olof Örtendal. Daniel Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ren Mur having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Anthony Bellucci dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Peter Ivarsson, 2-0. In the 41st minute, Uno Sigfridsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Björnlunda IF's zone, Anthony Bellucci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Ivarsson came out of the goal and Anthony Bellucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the game, Ernst Högberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Björnlunda IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave South Park the free kick. A collision led to Björnlunda IF getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ernst Högberg hit a great ball. Malte Danielsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ren Mur having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Malte Danielsson was the one to do the kick off. Peter Ivarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Pettersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When Malte Danielsson fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Björnlunda IF's protests and gave Malte Danielsson a yellow card for diving instead. Malte Danielsson kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Ren Mur was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Henning Sandberg. 63 minutes into the match, South Park's Roy Pettersson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Ivarsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. During the 68th minute of the match Malte Danielsson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Malte Danielsson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Malte Danielsson kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Sven-Edvin Blixt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ren Mur, 2-1. South Park made a substitution. Wiktor Pihlblad replaced Per-Olof Örtendal. The audience was convinced that Paul Månsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Ivarsson was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Sven-Edvin Blixt's late challenge caught a South Park's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Edvin Blixt helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of South Park booed when Björnlunda IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Edvin Blixt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 83 played minutes Björnlunda IF got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Edvin Blixt. After a defensive mix-up in South Park's zone, Sven-Edvin Blixt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ren Mur came out of the goal and Sven-Edvin Blixt tried to chip the ball over his head. When Roy Pettersson came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the South Park fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Pettersson couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. South Park fully deserved thier win.
