Djurgårdens IF's Yngve Fredriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Blixt in the 10th minute of play. Malte Danielsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Yngve Fredriksson made a huge save. Djurgårdens IF's Yngve Fredriksson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Djurgårdens IF from getting a goal against them. Björnlunda IF's Malte Danielsson managed to work through Djurgårdens IF's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Malte Danielsson dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 22 minutes into the match, Djurgårdens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Edvin Blixt came free, but Yngve Fredriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Malte Danielsson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Djurgårdens IF's Yngve Fredriksson. Yngve Fredriksson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Karl-Åke Termander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl-Åke Termander took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Ivarsson. Peter Ivarsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of Djurgårdens IF booed when Björnlunda IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boris Käcker didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Åke Termander in the 41st minute of play forced Björnlunda IF's goalkeeper Peter Ivarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 minutes Björnlunda IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcus Botvidsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Djurgårdens IF's Marcus Botvidsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Peter Ivarsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 45th minute Sven-Edvin Blixt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yngve Fredriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

61 minutes into the game, Malte Danielsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Yngve Fredriksson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute Stefan Hjortsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yngve Fredriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Edvin Blixt scored 3-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yngve Fredriksson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard and well directed shot from Edvard Hellqvist led 79 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Djurgårdens IF's Yngve Fredriksson became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 4-1. 85 minutes into the game, Tobias Pettersson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Djurgårdens IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Björnlunda IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Djurgårdens IF's Tobias Pettersson got a free kick in the 86th minute. Jakob Nordström kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Djurgårdens IF's Yngve Fredriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvard Hellqvist in the 88th minute of play. Alex Vinström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Ivarsson having to interfere. Sven-Edvin Blixt struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Yngve Fredriksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Björnlunda IF. A collision led to Djurgårdens IF getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Gert Nyström hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Djurgårdens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Edvin Blixt came free, but Yngve Fredriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Björnlunda IF had won after a very even match.
