Spectators: 7793 (Terracing: 5846, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 155) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Petter Ryberg kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Helsingborgs IF's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Hellsing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petter Ryberg. Bengt-Arne Simonsson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 6th playminute. In the 9th match minute, Helsingborgs IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Pil to maneuver through the defense. Petter Ryberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Erik Hellsing having to interfere. Bertil Hellgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rudolf Rolfsson went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Nicanor Barrial fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Helsingborgs IF's protests and gave Nicanor Barrial a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Arne Simonsson in the 25th minute of play forced Helsingborgs IF's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Hellsing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Helsingborgs IF were furious when Kjell-Arne Kellman was red carded, 27 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 28 played minutes Helsingborgs IF got a freekick which was hit by Kjell-Arne Kellman. Färnäs's Ian Lundin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jan-Erik Hellsing but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Helsingborgs IF's Jan-Erik Hellsing got control of the ball when Wiktor Qvarnström tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hannes Ström in the 32nd minute of play forced Helsingborgs IF's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Hellsing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Färnäs were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Helsingborgs IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ian Lundin took the corner. The corner led Färnäs's Bengt-Arne Simonsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Jan-Erik Hellsing despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jan-Erik Hellsing made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul Wikander in the 36th minute. Färnäs's Bertil Hellgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Rolfsson in the 42nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Jan-Erik Hellsing successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 45th minute of the match Färnäs got a corner. Helsingborgs IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ian Lundin ran over to the corner to take the kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rudolf Rolfsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ian Lundin hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The long shot by Bengt-Rune Heggert in the 51st minute really tested Bertil Hellgren's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hannes Ström in the 54th minute of play forced Helsingborgs IF's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Hellsing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Helsingborgs IF's Jan-Erik Hellsing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hannes Ström in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to Färnäs getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Gustav Nordin hit a great ball. Färnäs's Bertil Hellgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Färnäs from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute Hannes Ström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Erik Hellsing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicanor Barrial recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 71 minutes, Aktuğ Olcay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Helsingborgs IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aktuğ Olcay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Helsingborgs IF made a substitution. Jonas Holmgren replaced Róbert Károlyi. Rudolf Rolfsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Bertil Hellgren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice moves Rudolf Rolfsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Bertil Hellgren however easily saved by the left post. Jan-Erik Hellsing came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Färnäs's Paul Wikander. But to his dismay, Paul Wikander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 85 minutes into the match, Helsingborgs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Arne Simonsson came free, but Jan-Erik Hellsing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rudolf Rolfsson struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Bertil Hellgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Helsingborgs IF. Färnäs's Bertil Hellgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Färnäs from getting a goal against them. 92 minutes into the match, Aktuğ Olcay dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bertil Hellgren, 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
