In a very dangerous position, a player in Vegetarianerna United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! Gösta Forsberg had in the 7thth minute some difficulties stopping Jan-Åke Vennerberg's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Gösta Forsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Lingren in the 9th minute of play. Gösta Forsberg came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Goa Gubbar FK's Jan-Åke Vennerberg. But to his dismay, Jan-Åke Vennerberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Vegetarianerna United's Gösta Forsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivar Säv in the 17th minute of play. Gösta Forsberg was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Arne Lingren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arne Lingren really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Arne Lingren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evert Sander struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Gösta Forsberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goa Gubbar FK. Jan-Åke Vennerberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gösta Forsberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan-Åke Vennerberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Arne Lingren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Gösta Forsberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Evert Sander might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gösta Forsberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evert Sander ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Gösta Forsberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Jonas Lund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goa Gubbar FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Lund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gösta Forsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Jan-Åke Vennerberg took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Gösta Forsberg to make any attempt to save it. Jonas Lund hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Gösta Forsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Åke Vennerberg in the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Arne Lingren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gösta Forsberg. Vegetarianerna United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arne Lingren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 58th minute, Jan-Åke Vennerberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute, Jan-Åke Vennerberg made a precise shot to the right of Gösta Forsberg. Vegetarianerna United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. The supporters of Goa Gubbar FK booed when Vegetarianerna United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bror Fransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 66 minutes, Arne Lingren made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Vegetarianerna United's Gösta Forsberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Jan-Åke Vennerberg notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Vegetarianerna United's Gösta Forsberg. Gösta Forsberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Jan-Åke Vennerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Jonas Lund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gösta Forsberg came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Goa Gubbar FK's Arne Lingren. But to his dismay, Arne Lingren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. 84 minutes into the game, Greger Holmberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vegetarianerna United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goa Gubbar FK the free kick.
