Leo Deckbergh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 14 minutes into the match, IFK Knislinge's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Gregersson came free, but Leo Deckbergh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leo Deckbergh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ingvar Gregersson's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 40th minute of the match Newcastle United F.C. got a corner. IFK Knislinge's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Krister Västberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Leo Deckbergh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ata Bircan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Gregersson in the 44th minute of play forced IFK Knislinge's goalkeeper Leo Deckbergh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leo Deckbergh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ingvar Gregersson went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After the first half Newcastle United F.C. were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henry Lidberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Leo Deckbergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Gregersson in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 56th match minute, IFK Knislinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Hamnberg to maneuver through the defense. Leo Deckbergh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Krister Västberg in the 58th minute. IFK Knislinge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Joakim Vennerlund scored to the left of an out of position Leo Deckbergh, making the score, 0-11. Fábio Brites scored 0-12 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leo Deckbergh, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Newcastle United F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Newcastle United F.C.'s Fábio Brites looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-13 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 84th minute, Newcastle United F.C.'s Fábio Brites ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leo Deckbergh. Leo Deckbergh yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-14. IFK Knislinge's Leo Deckbergh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save IFK Knislinge from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, Fábio Brites left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newcastle United F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-15. Joakim Vennerlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
