Spectators: 7831 (Terracing: 5874, Seating: 1801, VIP seats: 156) Djurgårdens IF's Edvard Samuelsson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Krister Vibjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthon Karlsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Djurgårdens IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Krister Vibjörnsson in the 6th minute. It was a well-played corner which Staffan Sörman managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 7 minutes into the match, Gandalfs Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Blomqvist came free, but Anthon Karlsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Ove Dahlman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Jimmie Moberg made a huge save. Jan-Ove Dahlman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Jimmie Moberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Blomqvist in the 13th minute of play forced Gandalfs Fc's goalkeeper Anthon Karlsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Edvard Samuelsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Djurgårdens IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Ove Sörman in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimmie Moberg saved Djurgårdens IF from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edvard Samuelsson in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anthon Karlsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jan-Ove Dahlman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvard Samuelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Djurgårdens IF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Ove Sörman to strike the kick off in the second half. Jan-Ove Dahlman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Moberg having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, Djurgårdens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Staffan Sörman to maneuver through the defense. Jan-Ove Dahlman took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jimmie Moberg. Jimmie Moberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A collision led to Gandalfs Fc getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Leifur Fahlgren hit a great ball. Jimmie Moberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Ove Sörman in the 68th minute of play. Jimmie Moberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Ove Dahlman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st match minute, Gandalfs Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zoltán Sebestyén to maneuver through the defense. Anthon Karlsson made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Edvard Samuelsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute Jan-Ove Dahlman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Moberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Karl-Ove Sörman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jimmie Moberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Ove Sörman in the 92nd minute of play. Anthon Karlsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Blomqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Ove Sörman in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimmie Moberg saved Djurgårdens IF from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gandalfs Fc fans cheered their team off the field, for while Djurgårdens IF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
