After a rather tough play, Melchester Rovers's Tom Hedström got a free kick in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the game, Tom Hedström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melchester Rovers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Holmsveden IFK the free kick. Melchester Rovers's Sven-Ove Helström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Melchester Rovers from getting a goal against them. With his leg Sven-Ove Helström managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Holmsveden IFK's Per Olofsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Holmsveden IFK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
