The corner ended in Evert Markusson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Blågula BollAtleter's Tom Vandendriessche did a great save. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Andreas Söderquist put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tom Vandendriessche. Tom Vandendriessche stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonatan Böcklund's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Tom Vandendriessche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Söderquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Gamla Köpstad FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sigge Fürst in the 29th minute. Blågula BollAtleter's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sigge Fürst ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Jonatan Böcklund put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Tom Vandendriessche. Gamla Köpstad FC's Henric Lundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Theissen in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Tom Vandendriessche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Böcklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Andreas Söderquist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Henric Lundström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Theissen in the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of Blågula BollAtleter booed when Gamla Köpstad FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Langås didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gamla Köpstad FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
