Karl-Åke Sandström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Björkdahl in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ginlabbet Stockholm's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arne Blixt was slow to take the kick. During this time Brutal DeLuxe's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Reine Gudmundsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ginlabbet Stockholm's Karl-Åke Sandström did a great save. Thomas Runeberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Olof Ålberg in the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Ginlabbet Stockholm getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ursino Fuente hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Reine Gudmundsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brutal DeLuxe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 39 minutes into the game, Brutal DeLuxe's Reine Gudmundsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl-Åke Sandström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Karl-Åke Sandström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reine Gudmundsson went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reine Gudmundsson was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Nils-Erik Fagrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Runeberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chants of Brutal DeLuxe echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ginlabbet Stockholm had held the ball for most of the match.
