Sten Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Rydberg in the 8th minute of play. Sten Walroth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Almstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nils-Erik Åhlberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Belchior Boaventura's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Okan Čiček made a great header on AIK's corner, it was just that Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 20th minute, Okan Čiček reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nils-Erik Åhlberg. The goal made the score 1-0. 24 minutes into the match, Runa United's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Åhlberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Okan Čiček. George Browall was slow to take the kick. During this time AIK's players had a chance to rest. The corner led AIK's George Browall to fire away a dangerous shot which Nils-Erik Åhlberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Ted Almstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sten Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Rydberg in the 41st minute of play. Okan Čičeks short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Nils-Erik Åhlberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 44 minutes into the game, Runa United's Valentin Rydberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sten Walroth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 56th minute of the match Runa United got a corner. AIK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valentin Rydberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Sten Walroth made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Sten Walroth successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 69th minute Belchior Boaventura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Erik Åhlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elof Svensson hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. A collision led to AIK getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Elof Svensson hit a great ball. Sten Walroth was a little too slow when Bo Eriksson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 77th minute, Belchior Boaventura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nils-Erik Åhlberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Runa United's Harry Boumans got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jörgen Lundström hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
