Ove Vennerdal hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Edström got free with Billy Albäck in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute of the match Manchester City got a corner. ZergKing United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alf Möllgren ran over to the corner to take the kick. Manchester City's Orvar Kullgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Licerio in the 20th minute of play. Billy Albäck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richard Edström in the 24th minute. After having played for 30 minutes, Andréas Larsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZergKing United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andréas Larsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Manchester City booed when ZergKing United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Hermansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alf Möllgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Billy Albäck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute Igor Bucesta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orvar Kullgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 89 minutes, Johan Askelöf mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ZergKing United and the Manchester City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ZergKing United! A collision led to Manchester City getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Vilhelm Nordmark hit a great ball. The ZergKing United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ZergKing United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
