Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sina Puro in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filiph Hägg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sina Puro got free with Filiph Hägg in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oskar Lund kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Aston Villa FC's Jonas Forsberg got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isaac Kalfhage stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Aston Villa FC's Piotr Giejda threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nils-Åke Gunnarsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
