Seating: 1848, VIP seats: 160) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Niklas Bäck made the kick off which started today's match. Rickard Nilsson struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Nils-Erik Alin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thames Ironworks FC. When Thames Ironworks FC's Niklas Bäck in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A2 IF's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Thames Ironworks FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Christian Säv hit a great ball. After 15 minutes A2 IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gösta Granström who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Thames Ironworks FC's Gösta Granström to fire away a dangerous shot which Nils-Erik Alin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Niklas Bäck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nils-Erik Alin. A2 IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niklas Bäck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Dick Melander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Emil Hansson in the 19th minute of the match. Nils-Erik Alin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niklas Bäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Käller in the 33rd minute of play forced Thames Ironworks FC's goalkeeper Dick Melander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gösta Granström thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Dick Melander, a very annoying self made goal in the 34th minute which led to 1-1. With his leg Nils-Erik Alin managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Thames Ironworks FC's Niklas Bäck fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Niklas Bäcks short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Nils-Erik Alin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dick Melander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Trulsson in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44thth minute of the game Niklas Bäck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A2 IF's Nils-Erik Alin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nils-Erik Alin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Niklas Bäck showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 46 minute of play.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Johannes Trulsson was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, A2 IF's goal looked a bit too open when Niklas Bäck came free, but Nils-Erik Alin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute of the match Thames Ironworks FC got a corner. A2 IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gösta Granström ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Thames Ironworks FC's corner Gösta Granström fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nils-Erik Alin quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Bäck in the 57th minute of play forced A2 IF's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Alin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johannes Trulsson got free with Dick Melander in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 60 minutes into the match, Thames Ironworks FC's goalkeeper Dick Melander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johannes Trulsson. If Nils-Emil Hansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils-Erik Alin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niklas Bäck in the 67th minute of the match. A2 IF's Nils-Erik Alin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvard Gunnarsson in the 72nd minute of play. A2 IF made a substitution. Toader Drogba replaced Nils-Emil Hansson. A2 IF's Bo Pettersson was substituted for Márió Vincze. In the 74th minute Thames Ironworks FC were awarded a corner. Gösta Granström went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 78th minute of the match Thames Ironworks FC got a corner. A2 IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gösta Granström ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gösta Granström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nils-Erik Alin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 80th minute, Rickard Nilsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nils-Erik Alin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 83 minutes into the match, Thames Ironworks FC's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Glanselius came free, but Dick Melander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Niklas Bäck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nils-Erik Alin was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 85th minute of the match Thames Ironworks FC got a corner. A2 IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gösta Granström ran over to the corner to take the kick. 94 minutes into the match, Thames Ironworks FC's Niklas Bäck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nils-Erik Alin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 95 minutes, Börge Sundström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A2 IF and the Thames Ironworks FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, Börge Sundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gösta Granström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
